HTCondor Release Plans

HTCondor makes approximately monthly feature releases containing all the latest work of the development team.

Additionally, a long-term-support (LTS) release is maintained. The LTS version can be identified as version `X.0.Y`, such as `23.0.x`. The LTS releases primarily receive bugfixes; on rare occasions, the HTCSS team may backport very targeted, low-risk features for customers.

A new LTS release is made every 12 months; when the new LTS release is made, the old LTS release receives an additional 12 months of support. A typical LTS release will thus get bugfixes for 24 months.
